Rosemary in Florida | From Seed to Kitchen

Rosemary

🌿 Description

Rosemary is one of my favorite plants I’ve grown so far. I actually started this plant from seed a few years ago, and it’s now at the point where I can harvest from it regularly. What I love most about it is how it moves from just being a plant… to actually becoming part of my everyday life. Most recently, I used it to make fresh rosemary bread, and there’s just something different about using something you’ve grown yourself.

Rosemary
Sun

☀️ Care

From my experience, rosemary is a very hardy plant once it gets established.

  • thrives in full sun
  • prefers well-draining soil
  • doesn’t need constant watering
  • actually does better when you don’t overdo it

It’s one of those plants that rewards a more hands-off approach.

Bread

🌱 Uses

This is where rosemary really stands out.

  • great for cooking (especially breads and savory dishes) 🍞
  • can be used fresh or dried
  • adds a strong, earthy flavor
  • can be used for simple home remedies

For me, it’s become something I can go outside, clip, and immediately use in the kitchen.
